SAVE THE SHARKS, SAVE THE SEAS
BE AN AMBASSADOR
WHAT WE DO:
We take on the responsibility of spreading the message about shark conservation to our peers. We organize fundraisers, give presentations, and work within the structure of our schools to ensure every student knows how important it is for sharks to remain in our oceans, not in our dinner bowls.
We are students in Hong Kong who are passionate about making a difference. We understand that our habits as consumers are putting sharks, and therefore our oceans, in serious danger. We believe it is our time to speak up against the unsustainable and wasteful practice of shark finning.

WHY WE DO IT:
100
million
Sharks are killed each year for their fins
52%
Of the global fin trade passes through Hong Kong
1/4
of the world’s 1,044 shark species
are now threatened with extinction

WHO WE ARE:
Being a Shark Ambassador takes time and dedication. We are students here in Hong Kong who decided we wanted to stand up, speak up, and make a difference in our global community. We are passionate. We are leaders. We know that the biggest hurdle to change is overcoming a lack of awareness and education, and we are excited to spread the word about shark conservation.
